Don’t Be A Fanboy

Don’t be a fanboy (or girl). Don’t just read the authors and speakers you agree with, and don’t think that everything they say is right. Don’t quote them all day in class, in conversation, and in your blog.

Read and listen to everyone with discernment. Learn from people from the opposite perspective. Let them challenge your thinking. Challenge yourself to question those you agree with, as well.

Consider all perspectives, then develop your own. Don’t just take someone else’s and become an undiscerning, raving fan.
