We made it!
On Friday afternoon, we pulled into our new hometown of Greenwood, Indiana, just south of Indianapolis. We immediately got busy with unloading, unpacking, and showing the boys our apartment and the area. This week we will continue to settle in while the boys attend local summer camps.
While we loved a lot about living in North Carolina, we are also looking forward to this new chapter of life and ministry. I am excited to be back in the Midwest: the land of clear lakes, cool summer nights, and very cold winters. We are excited about the boys’ new school, and the new house that we are building just 3/4 mile from church. We have already made many new friends and look forward to expanding and deepening our community in the weeks and months ahead. And of course, we have circled November 27 on our calendars, when our beloved UNC men’s basketball team will meet the IU Hoosiers in Bloomington — just 35 minutes down the road — in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
Thank you for your prayers for safe travel and a smooth transition. While we still have a lot of unpacking to do, we are glad to finally be together again and in our new home!
